How to Burn Incense Cones

To safely burn an incense cone you first of all need a suitable holder to place them in so as to not burn, mark or mess up your furniture surfaces. A holder like the one to the left is ideal as it will stop the ash and hot embers touching your furniture surfaces. Some packs of incense cones actually come with a small plate type holder only large enough to burn one cone at a time but it is always nice to have a stylish holder that looks great in your home. Place an incense cone onto the holder and use a safety lighter to light the pointed tip of the cone. Leave the flame for a few seconds then blow it out gently so you don’t blow over the incense cone, the top of the cone should now be glowing. As the incense cone burns it will diffuse a gorgeous scent through the smoke that will drift around the room filling it with must have fragrance. Once the incense cone has completely burnt through and completely cool you can dispose of the left over ash in a suitable bin.
